Historic Enterprises - An American company supplying many historic items. Remember that buying items from abroad may possibly incur importation taxes. However she also trades at the living history fayre in the UK.
Karl Robinson, Leatherworker - Makes leather items from Medieval to Elizabethan. Nice chap.

The Blackout volunteers - Historical re-enactment society. Several members do talks and displays on the 1940s. They have their own 1940s YMCA tea car.
Class History - A one stop shop for schools to bring history alive in the classroom
History people - Provide educational displays in the Midlands for schools and museums, also involved in the "Stepping Back in Time" project a resource for teachers who will be able to take their students on a time travel experience from Egypt to WWII.

The Medieval Siege Society - Biggest war of the roses re-enactment society in the country. Great battles, living history and historical enterntainment. It's where we started out.

Ermine Street Guard - Superb Roman reenactors for whom Discovering Medieval have much respect.
Nosey Cow - A friend who is trying to get his fab childrens book published. He also does 1940s 8th Army re-enactment. Several photos of which are on his site.
The Medieval Combat Society - a non profit making society run by the members for fun and enjoyment. Do events at historic sites across the country. Very entertaining, inventive and enjoyable combat, archery & dancing displays.
The Company of St Barbara - Medieval gun company. They own lots of cannon and a bombard, which makes the loudest bang you ever heard!
Royal Sussex Living History Group - a small group dedicated to recreating the Royal Sussex Regiment as it would have been in the Victorian period, keeping alive the days of scarlet tunics, buff leather equipment and bell tents. A nice bunch of people.

Thinking history - Ian Dawsons fabulous website with wonderful ideas for teaching history in the classroom such as the revolt of 1381 and the Norman conquest with the aid of very simple props. See him in action at the Schools History Project Conference, held in July each year. A visit to SHP will fill you full of enthusiasm and ideas for teaching in the classroom, he's a prolific author of wonderful school history books.
